Maintenance Systems Manager

Maintenance Systems Manager

The successful candidate based onshore in Aberdeen will manage the development and deployment of the Maintenance System for both our new drillship Bolette Dolphin and our new generation harsh environment semi-submersible, Bollsta Dolphin.  The position will eventually assume overall management of DDL Planned Maintenance Systems within our fleet.

This is a challenging role that requires solid experience of maintenance systems development and management.

Candidates, ideally educated to degree level will be experienced and skilled in Computerised Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) preferably SAP based and additionally have previous experience in the development and deployment of RCM(Reliability Centred Maintenance) & RBI(Risk Based Inspection) techniques.

Familiarity with DNV Class, DNV Rules and Flag State requirements are necessary and offshore drilling industry experience is preferred.

Electrical Engineer

This onshore based position will provide day to day support to the Electrical Superintendent in operational aspects across all Dolphin offshore units. Specific responsibilities will be allocated with respect to ongoing and forthcoming projects.

Candidates, preferably educated to degree level will require previous drilling or marine experience most likely in an onshore support role. The position requires knowledge of electrical maintenance procedures, current electrical standards with the ability to review modification requests to ensure compliance with both class and legislative requirements. Familiarity with DNV Class, DNV Rules and flag state requirements is important and shipyard experience would also be beneficial .

Aberdeen based but with a requirement for international travel, this position will act as the PFO (preparation for operations)Project Manager for our new build, harsh environment, semi submersible Bollsta Dolphin currently about to commence construction in Korea and subsequently bound to operate in the Northern North Sea area.

Educated to degree standard candidates will require a strong project management background preferably gained in an operational oil and gas role as well  as a sound technical background in the drilling or marine industry with experience of DP systems.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Prepare drilling discipline related specifications and work orders.
  • Perform offshore surveys.
  • Verify interface connections to existing rig and report.  
  • Planning scope of work and report progress of the drilling items during all phases of the project.
  • Review and verify design, engineering drawings and documents.
  • Prepare Change Order Request (COR) forms for the Drilling discipline.
  • Work in close cooperation with the LCI coordinator.
  • Supervision and follow-up of subcontractors and initiate actions if delivery deviates from specifications and schedule.
  • Review and/or prepare work packages, commissioning procedures, FAT procedures and mechanical completion documents.
  • Perform on-site inspections and follow up on quality to ensure it meets required specifications.
  • The position is based in Tananger Norway, but travel activity will be required due to follow up of suppliers and execution of projects internationally.  

 

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS

  • Technical University degree on bachelor level. Long relevant experience can compensate for lack of formal education
  • Minimum of 5 years work experience from oil & gas industry within Technical and Projects related matters
  • Knowledge of rules and regulations within Semisubmersible Drilling Units and Drilling Ships.

  • Act as the responsible contract administrator and commercial lead for a portfolio of allocated rig contracts, and to ensure this responsibility is managed in accordance with applicable laws and regulations, as well as internal policies and management system.
  • Follow up claims, disputes and other contract related issues, and ensure timely handling of such.

JOB TITLE               :           SAFETY & TRAINING CO-ORDINATOR (STC)

 

JOB FUNCTION      :           Supports the Quality, Health, Safety & Environmental and Training objectives of the Company on offshore vessels

While operationally the STC reports directly to the OIM on day to day activities the position also has an important functional reporting relationship to DDL Aberdeen QHS&E Manager who may intervene as appropriate in certain circumstances/issues.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES/ACTIVITIES:

 

  • Demonstrate commitment to and ensure safe and efficient compliance with all regulatory, client, industry and Dolphin QHS&E requirements.
  • Provide advice, training and mentoring to all crew members to demonstrate that QHS&E is a line responsibility.
  • Provide training and mentoring on the SMS and its components.
  • Through demonstration, intervention, interaction and communication monitor that:
    1. All relevant QHS&E procedures and practices are followed during operations; particularly assessment and communication.
    2. Suitable and sufficient assessment is carried out, appropriately communicated and applied for hazardous situations and changes to/during operations.
  • Assist with and verify a high standard of onboard induction training for all personnel.
  • Assist OIM with emergency and security procedures and drill planning to ensure all components are up-to date (e.g. maintain drill matrix).
  • Assist operations by monitoring compliance with QHS&E performance indicators while tracking and assisting with corrective and preventive action.
  • Assist, as required, in helicopter deck operations during flying, including deck clearance, refuelling and passenger transit on helideck deck and act as HLO as required.
  • Assist with SMS review and competence program maintenance as required.
  • Assist in the planning and conducting of safety meetings by providing input such as policies, procedures, updates, assessments, presentations and admin support.
  • Liaison with Aberdeen QHS&E & HR Departments, ensuring that training levels are maintained and co-ordinated.

PERFORMANCE INDICATORS:

  • Interaction and interface with crew.
  • Participation in and monitoring of QHS&E performance indicators.

JOB FUNCTION:

Ensure effective implementation and follow up of all matters related to Hull & Structure on Dolphin Drilling operated rigs

 

REPORTING TO: VP Asset Integrity

RESPONSIBILITIES

 

  • Establish governing procedures related to maintenance, inspection and modification of hull and structure on Dolphin Drilling operated rigs
  • Effective implementation and reporting in DNV SIM application
  • Ensure and monitor all structural modifications, packages and equipment required for the RS Projects and any project during normal operation
  • Issue and monitor Dolphin Drilling Hull Integrity Management
  • Assist Projects and Operations in ensuring structural & hull discipline related specifications and work orders.
  • Perform offshore surveys.
  • Review and verify design calculations, engineering drawings and documents.
  • Establish frame agreement(s) with critical vendors
  • Ensure quality and performance of critical vendors within area Hull & Structure
  • Supervision and follow-up of subcontractors and initiate actions if delivery deviates from specifications and schedule.

  • In cooperation with Purchasing Department, Technical Department and Global Support, plan and execute service on received goods which require such follow up.
